Our editorial approach
How we write our guides and comparisons
Last reviewed
Written by the maker of Stashora
Stashora publishes these guides to help knitters and crocheters organize their materials, choose useful tools, and keep their projects moving. We have a commercial interest in Stashora. Our comparisons are not independent reviews, and Stashora is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ravelry.
Sources you can check
Product comparisons use official publisher pages, App Store listings, and Ravelry’s connected-app directory. Relevant sources are linked beside the comparison or explanation. Yarn terminology references the Craft Yarn Council where appropriate. If a feature is not established by a source, we do not treat that as proof that it is absent.
Recommendations by use case
Our selections explain which workflow an app may suit. They are editorial judgments based on documented features, not lab results or a claim that we tested every app. We do not invent reviews, ratings, user counts, performance measurements, or expert endorsements. Another app may be a better choice for a particular device or pattern workflow.
Examples and tools
The worked examples and checklists are illustrative. Our website yarn calculator shows its formula and assumptions, and estimates length from the numbers you enter. It does not establish whether a yarn is a suitable substitute or predict a garment’s yarn requirements. Calculations stay in the page and are not saved to an account.
Review dates and corrections
A review date records when the content and linked product descriptions were checked. It is not automatically refreshed when the website is built. Apps can change after that date; the publisher’s current documentation and the installed app are the places to confirm details.
